A Little Shine for Fall: Jewelry, Bags & Seasonal Surprises 🍂
Carrie BloomEvery fall, I find myself drawn back to jewelry with a little metallic shine.
Maybe it is because the season already brings so much softness with it—knits, trench coats, denim, leather, and all those warm, muted shades of brown, cream, gray, burgundy and black. 🤎
They are beautiful on their own, but when everything in an outfit feels soft and understated, I always think it needs one small point of light.
For me, that is usually jewelry.
Nothing oversized or overly sparkly. A silver necklace, a pair of polished earrings, or a simple ring is often enough.
Jewelry also feels different in fall than it does in summer. In warmer months, a necklace usually sits directly against bare skin. Once the weather cools, it starts to work with sweaters, shirts, jackets and coats.
A little silver against charcoal gray, dark brown, black or denim can look especially clean.
I have always felt that fall needs a little shine. ✨
And then there is the bag.
One of my favorite fall combinations is also one of the simplest: a trench coat, denim, a knit or crisp shirt underneath, and a good bag.
The clothes themselves are classic, but without a bag, the outfit can still feel unfinished.
A more structured bag can make a trench coat and jeans feel polished, while a softer shape can make the same outfit feel more relaxed. It does not have to match your shoes perfectly, and it does not need to look overly coordinated.
Usually, the best combinations are the ones that simply feel right together.
That is why my own idea of an easy fall outfit is very simple:
a trench coat, denim, a bag you genuinely love, and just a little metallic jewelry. 🍂
That is enough.
It is also why adding Bags to RareLucky has felt much more natural to me than it might seem at first.
Bags and jewelry do different jobs, but they belong to the same part of getting dressed.
A bag gives an outfit shape and presence. Jewelry adds the finishing light.
They are often the last things we reach for before walking out the door.
When choosing new Bags for RareLucky, I keep coming back to the same question: will this actually be used?
I want a bag to work with a trench coat, but also with a sweater and jeans. Something you can carry to work, take to lunch, bring along for a coffee run ☕️, use on the weekend, and reach for again when you travel.
I am much more interested in pieces that become part of everyday life than something that looks perfect in one photograph and then stays in the closet.
The same is true of jewelry.
A new season does not necessarily mean replacing everything you already own. Sometimes one small change is enough to make familiar clothes feel fresh again.
A different bag. A silver necklace over a knit. A pair of earrings catching the light beside a scarf.
Small details can change the whole feeling of an outfit.
A Few New Surprises for Fall 🍁
This fall, we have also been refreshing the RareLucky surprise gift collection.
As the season changes, I like the surprises inside our packages to change with it. So we have added more little gifts that feel right for autumn, including lip balm, scarves and bag charms, along with other seasonal pieces that will appear throughout the season.
Not every package will contain the same thing—and that is part of the fun.
The surprise should still feel like a surprise. 🎁
But I love the idea that opening a RareLucky package in fall can feel slightly different from opening one in summer.
The season changes, so the surprises can change with it. 🍂
That has always been one of the things I enjoy most about RareLucky.
There is jewelry. There are Bags. And then there are the little things you did not know you were going to find until you open the package.
They are different categories, but to me they all come back to the same idea: making an ordinary day feel a little more special.
Fall does not always require a whole new wardrobe.
Sometimes the trench coat you already love and the jeans you have worn a hundred times only need a different bag and a little metallic shine to feel new again.
Maybe we do not need more.
Maybe we just need the right details.
A favorite bag, a little shine, and a small surprise for fall. ✨🍂
